The reason why I stand, the answer lies in you
You hung to make me strong, though my praise was few
When I fall and bring your name down but I have found in you
A heart that pleads forgiveness replacing all these thoughts of painful memories
But I know that your response will always be
I'll take you back... always
And even when your fight is over now
- Jeremy Camp , Take you Back
I heard about multiply way back during the peak of friendster era but it never really tickled my fancy until now that that i've been coming across with friends who'd always be able to somehow slip in the middle of our conversation the words "you can check it at my multiply site". What happen to good old finish-the-story conversation? Sorry, didn't mean to be critical but I did enjoy going through your sites, photos, blogs and somehow feel that I got a bit closer to all of you. hehehe (totoo po ito at hindi lang po ako kumakabig)
So when I heard the song this morning I felt like it's only appropriate for me to start my blogging days (or any of my days as a matter of fact) with God's mercy. It always amazes me how we can sometimes forget God when we are placed in difficult situations but what amazes me more is that we tend to forget that God is always ready and waiting to take us back. It's kinda ironic to use this for an example but Jonah knew this exactly. He did not want to bring God's word to Nineveh because he knew exactly that if the people repented, God would take them back.
" He prayed to the Lord, 'O Lord, is this not what I said when I was at home? That's why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.' "
Jonah 4:2
Thank God that when we make mistakes his response will always be "I'll take you back"
("...a God who relents from sending a calamity" - I guess this answers the feeling that I get na kikidlatan ako whenever I make mistakes, rinirelent naman pala nya. hehehe. cheers.)
